History

Bujang Valley is the oldest and richest historical site in Malaysia. It is situated between Gunung Jerai in the north and Sungai Muda in the south occupying an area of 400 sq. Among them are Candi Batu Pahat, Candi Pangkalan Bujang, Candi Pendiat and Candi Sungai Batu.

Bujang Valley was the oldest centre of international and entrepot trade for Malaysia. The numerous artefacts uncovered in the Bujang Valley -celedon, porcelain, stoneware, clay, pottery, fragments of glass, beads and Persian ceramics - are some proofs that support the observation.
